Fox's launches on-the-go biscuit portion packs
|
Biscuit expert Fox's is launching three of its best-performing products in new portion pack formats, marking the company's first ever venture into the out-of-home channe.
The company has called in sales and marketing company, SHS Sales & Marketing, to manage the launch into this growing category. The move, which includes the popular Rocky, Viennese Melts and Chunkie Cookie products, is set to bring a new range of much-loved in-home biscuit brands to the on-the-go snacking consumer.
The new portion packs will enable existing Fox's consumers to purchase the biscuits they already know and love in a range of new channels, as well as introducing new snacking shoppers to the brand. The move is expected to dramatically increase usage occasions of Viennese Melts and Chunkie Cookies, which have traditionally only been in-home biscuit choices, and bring new consumers to flagship chocolate biscuit bar, Rocky. They will also provide out-of-home channels with the opportunity to grow their sales by bringing these familiar and highly successful products to their ranges.
Following its re-launch last year, Rocky is already the third biggest biscuit brand in on-the-go snacking*, and continues to grow in popularity. Fox's Viennese Melts and Foxs Half Coated Chunkie Cookies are both top performing adult indulgence snacks.
Sandy Graham, out-of-home sales controller for Fox's Biscuits, said, "We are delighted to be working with SHS Sales & Marketing to offer our consumers a better class of biscuit when snacking away from home. We are confident that their expertise and relationships within foodservice will boost sales within this channel. Caterers can now significantly broaden opportunities by treating their customers to Foxs most well-loved biscuits in a whole host of new and varied on-the-go venues, including in-flight, hotel rooms, cafs, motorway services and leisure centres.
"Fox's continues to drive growth of the 1.4bn sweet biscuit category, and by opening up our best-sellers to all out-of-home eating occasions and venues, we can continue to provide our consumers with the best possible biscuit choice whenever - and wherever - they want it."
